My Research
At the beginning of the research phase, my idea was to have a food truck that traveled around the city, feeding children in their own neighborhoods.

Naming the App Prototype
Progressive Diner came from the idea of a progressive dinner, a meal that moves around a city or neighborhood. It's a fun play on words. I like the fact that pd. is not only the initials of the business, but also the abbreviation of the word paid.

The Design Process
Since the app was initially intended for children, I started with a bright color palette, and considered using a character mascot.
As the idea expanded to be an app for adults and children, the color palette changed. When the icon was tested in bright sunlight, the consensus of my class was that the icon on the far right worked best in terms of visibility.
The logo was created with basic shapes, and then refined according to feedback I received.
